Fraud investigation is underway for a daycare business. Court records reveal that parents were told to claim a non-existent company as their employer to get financial aid. This was done to meet requirements for a taxpayer-funded program.
The business in question received a substantial amount of money, despite being flagged for suspicious activity years ago. Payments were not stopped until recently.
Investigating authorities have collected various documents and recordings as part of their inquiry, which is ongoing. The business owner has not been charged and the business is no longer listed as a licensed childcare provider.
