Mosquitos infected with West Nile virus have been identified in the Twin Cities area. The Metropolitan Mosquito Control District reported the discovery of these mosquitos in three counties. The infected mosquitos were found in Hennepin, Ramsey, and Dakota counties.

Specific locations where the samples were collected include one site in Hennepin County, two sites in Ramsey County, and one site in Dakota County.
