From New York: A proposal has been made to alter the regular season and postseason format. The plan involves reducing the number of regular season games. Additionally, the postseason would be extended, allowing top pitchers to appear more frequently. Teams would also have more days off during the season.

Further changes are proposed, including giving higher-seeded teams the ability to choose their opponents. Most Mondays would be off-days for teams, except in certain cases.

Details of the proposal are available, including the potential impact on player opportunities and the postseason schedule.
